KIRK GITTINGS: Architectural and Landscape Photography







Currently, because of an ongoing commitment to teach in the summers at THE SCHOOL OF THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO, Mr. Gittings is limiting his private workshops. The workshop at the SAIC is a 6 week intensive course in photographing historic architecture. The next scheduled class is in the summer of 2010. Recently, the Photography Department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago said in an online advertisement: "In addition to our regular and part-time faculty, the department invites talented national and internationally recognized artists to participate in the program. This allows the department to offer more diverse courses for students. Visiting artists in recent years have included Dan Burkholder, Dan Estabrook, Kirk Gittings [8 times], Peggy Jones, Aida Laleian, Pradip Malde, Eric Renner, Nancy Spencer, Roger Vail, Sarah Van Keuren, and Jon Winet.
